Demonstration of hypnotic induction.

Hypnosis is a natural state of trance that occurs naturally throughout the day and often just before we fall asleep at night. You could compare it to the state of mind experienced when you’ve been driving in the car for a while with out noticing where you’ve been going.

Hypnotherapy is when a therapist uses hypnosis to help a client engage with their subconscious mind for therapeutic purposes.

Yes. Everyone can enter into hypnosis but only if they want to.

No. I will not make you quack like a duck, unless you really want me to. Nobody can make you do anything that you don’t want. Hypnotherapy works because the therapist is helping you tap into your own inclinations and desires.

That really depends on the behaviour you want to change and the reasons behind the behaviour. Hypnotherapy can often work in just two or three sessions but sometimes it takes longer

For me hypnotherapy feels like a massage to the mind and soul. I feel like I’m put into a lovely warm cocoon and most of the time I don’t want to come back, but when I do, I feel invigorated and positive – empowered. Naturally it’s different for everyone.

Providing you really want to make the changes and are prepared to let yourself be taken on a different path hypnotherapy will work, but there are no guarantees. To get the most of your sessions you will need to be open, honest and trust that your therapist is the right one for you.
